This is the front cover for the Deyes High newsletter. During the analysis of this front cover I discovered that it has a poor layout and is boring in its design. The reasons for this are:
- It has no colour
- There is no eye catching images
- The logo is faded
- The layout has no shape
- There is no masthead, instead a picture of the school
- It is exactly the same every month as it is of a house style
- The schools badge is the main front for the cover rather than having a headline or an attention grabbing picture
The reason why the newsletter is boring and plain is because it is more of a information booklet rather than a magazine and is just designed to get the message across to students and more importantly parents or guardians. There is no variation to the newsletter because it is all about the contents and the school printing the newsletter does not view the front cover as being as important as the content.
